Implementation is Key for Coaching Success | By Scott Lippitt

My name is Scott Lippitt and my wife, Pamela Schreiber Lippitt (along with our business partner) are here to help you take the appropriate actions to get quantifiable, take-it-to-the-bank results. All coaching must end in doing. We are sick and tired of other coaches (hopefully not you) who don’t have the proper training, tools, and support to help their clients take the appropriate actions. Strategies without implementation are worthless. Maybe worse… wasteful. Without implementation (and the correct implementation), business owners waste their time and money; their two most critical resources.

We are Business Growthology™ and we’re going to train a few hand-selected Virtual Business Advisors on a proven, results-based program that allows our advisors to sign up all the small business advising/coaching clients they can handle, and more importantly, get their clients real, measurable results.

As a coach, I’ve come to realize that success in our field isn’t just about providing insightful advice or devising brilliant strategies. It’s about ensuring that those insights and strategies are put into action. Implementation is the key that unlocks the door to real, tangible results for our clients.

In my early days as a coach, I was passionate about sharing ideas and concepts with my clients. I loved delving into theories and exploring different approaches to problem-solving. However, I soon realized that simply discussing ideas wasn’t enough. Many of my clients struggled to translate those ideas into action. That’s when I truly realized that the true value of coaching lies in bridging the gap between ideas and action.

For instance, I once worked with a budding entrepreneur who had a brilliant business concept but struggled to execute it. We spent hours brainstorming and refining her business plan, but progress was slow. It wasn’t until we developed a concrete action plan with specific steps and deadlines that things started to move forward. Witnessing the transformation from ideation to execution reaffirmed my belief in the power of implementation-focused coaching.

One of the most rewarding aspects of coaching is witnessing the empowerment that comes from taking action. When clients step out of their comfort zones and proactively pursue their goals, it’s truly inspiring. As coaches, our role isn’t just to provide guidance; it’s to empower our clients to take ownership of their actions and decisions.

Incorporating implementation-focused strategies into my coaching practice has become a top priority. I’ve learned that it’s not enough to simply provide advice or set goals; we must also develop (or better yet, have in place) concrete plans for implementation and follow-through. This means breaking down goals and business growth strategies into smaller, actionable steps, setting deadlines, and holding clients accountable for their progress.

In the world of business coaching, success isn’t measured by the brilliance of our ideas or the depth of our knowledge. It’s measured by the impact we have on our clients’ lives and that of their families. And that impact can only be realized through action. As business coaches, we must be all about implementation if we truly want to succeed.

By prioritizing action, empowering our clients, and bridging the gap between ideas and execution, we can help them achieve their goals and unlock their full potential. So let’s roll up our sleeves, get down to work, and make implementation the cornerstone of our coaching practice. Because when it comes down to it, success lies in action.

Scott Lippitt has over 25 years of experience in marketing and advertising for some of the biggest brands in the US, such as Progressive Insurance, Black & Decker, Hallmark, Hershey’s, Arby’s, Dunkin’ Donuts, and Old Spice.
Fifteen years ago, he and his wife Pam got tired of turning millionaires into billionaires (or at the bare minimum, multi-millionaires)… ‘they weren’t that grateful nor were they that generous!” So, they turned their attention from helping Wall Street to helping Main Street.

Now, Scott Lippitt works with small business owners to help them double and even triple their profit while spending little to no additional monies on marketing to do so. He also offers a program that provides advisors, consultants, and coaches with the tools, training, and support to generate a consistent flow of qualified leads and predictably convert those leads into high-paying clients ($440-$1,180 per hour!)
